Montgomery Whitewater Center - Unfortunate News... On-site event is cancelled...
Today, September 10, 2026, the Paddlesports Trade Coalition learned that Montgomery Whitewater, the planned venue for the 2026 PTC Colab, has entered a temporary closure and will no longer be available to host the event as planned. This is disappointing news not only for PTC and the many industry participants who have committed to Colab, but also for Montgomery Whitewater, its team, and the local paddling community that it serves.
The PTC Board is actively assessing the situation and evaluating alternative solutions for the 2026 event (see the Sept 16 update below). We remind everyone to cancel any travel or lodging arrangements.
If you are scheduled to speak, facilitate, present, exhibit or otherwise play an active role in Colab, please hold that commitment while the PTC Board determines the best path forward. We’ve been handed a bucket of lemons, and we’re going to do our best to make lemonade!
Thank you for your patience, flexibility and continued commitment to bringing retailers, brands, sales reps, outfitters, community organizations and other industry leaders together. We also wish the Montgomery Whitewater team and local paddling community the very best as they navigate this unexpected situation.

Sept. 16 Update - The launch of PTC University - Kickoff - October 14 and 15
The PTC community has never been one to slow down. And so - true to our spirit - we proudly announce the launch of PTC University on October 14 and 15, 2026. We are transforming our educational and classroom content originally developed for the in-person PTC Colab 2026 event into a dynamic, fully virtual experience. This shift opens the door for even more participants, more voices, and more collaboration than ever before! Instead of scaling back, we're scaling up - with efforts to expand access, broaden engagement, and build powerful momentum as we head into 2027.
While we are sad to lose the on-water activities we were set to enjoy at Montgomery Whitewater Center's amazing venue, we hope you are excited to share in the new collaboration opportunities that PTC University provides! Additional details are posted here!
